Summer Concerts at the Chester Bandstand

 

The sound of music will once again drift across the Chester waterfront as the Summer Bandstand Concert Series returns for 2012! Sunday evenings at 7pm from June 24 to August 26, join us for a free outdoor concert at the Chester Bandstand.

Children are welcome to dance on the grass. Adults may want to bring a lawn chair. Concerts may be moved or cancelled in heavy rain at the discretion of the performer(s). For more information, please contact Evelyn Ernst at (902) 634-4435.

Chester Brass Band

For over 130 summers, the music of the Chester Brass Band has floated across the harbor. They are still one of the top community bands in the province. Join us as we begin another season!

Canada Day

Bridgewater Firemen’s Band

The Bridgewater Firemen’s Band is the biggest town band around, and guarantees an evening of marches, hymns and toe-tapping tunes in the best bandstand tradition.

Chester Basin Street Dixieland Band

Originally a sub-group of Chester Brass, the Chester Basin Street Dixieland Band has a life of its own in the summer. They’ll have you whistling Dixie, swinging to Sweet Georgia Brown and imagining the streets of New Orleans.

Chester Brass Band

The Chester Brass Band offers movie themes, marches, folksongs and familiar tunes in the British Brass Band style for a sparkling concert in the park.

Brass Impact

Brass Impact is 25 of the best brass players in Metro, performing classic, pop, swing and show tunes. Prepare to be blown away in the best way!
